About the Teacher

I began dancing when I was a little girl of 4 years old. I danced in my house with my mother and my family. I took many classes in different kinds of modern ballet, and I am a graduate from the Argentine School of Corporal Expression. I have also competed in sports gymnastics and I have also danced folk dances from different countries. Finally I went on to participate in different seminars on "Dance Movement Therapy, "eutony" and Alexander Technique.
When I became Torah observant and religious, I stopped dancing in the traditional sense, but I never stopped moving. A Teacher told me once that my great challenge was to find a way of uniting my two worlds – the Torah and dance. It took me about 15 years to achieve this, a time during which I meditated and managed to connect in a profound way to my inner being. Out of this inner journey grew new images of forms and movements that eventually gave shape to JewGal.
My mediation brought me to the shapes and spiritual significance of each of the letters of the Aleph Bet, and my communication with my inner being allowed my to explore the corporal expression of these sacred forms, JewGal, the silent but powerful union of spirit and body.
